The State has enacted the following legislation:-

• The Natural Resources and Environment (Prescribed Activities) Order, 1994, which requires Environmental Impact assessment (EIA) to be conducted before the commencement of the so-called “prescribed development activities”;

• The Natural Resources and Environment (Compounding of offences) Rules, 1997;

• The Natural Resources and Environment (Fire Danger Rating System) Order, 2004;

• The Natural Resources and Environment (Auditing) Rules, 2008

• The Natural Resources and Environment (Consultants Registration) Rules, 2008

• Natural Resources and Environment (Collection and Disposal of Used Tyres) Rules, 2012.

• Water Ordinance in 1994 

• Parks and Green Ordinance 1994
