The State of Sarawak has perticipated in Anugerah Harta Intelek Negara 2017 which was recently held in Pullman Hotel, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

For the purpose of the award, the State has submitted "Ikan Empurau Sarawak" which has been registered under the Geographical Indication protection on the 5th February 2015.

Ikan Empurau Sarawak has been selected as a bronze winner and bag home RM5,000.00 plus AHIN 2017 throphy.
